An opportunity to learn what businesses think about Waitakere
City, conducting business in the City and the services the Council
provides and supports.
Background and purpose of survey
Two cornerstone policy objectives of Waitakere City council are
the development of a strong innovative economy and
development of
strong communities. Business activity provides a key role in
fostering these aims.
Businesses surveyed in the business survey are trading
companies of all size ranges and all sectors of the economy.
Businesses were asked questions on the following themes:
- The general business environment
- Advantages and disadvantages of their current
business locations
- Where their markets and suppliers are located
- Employments issues, including skills demand
- Internet usage
- Waitakere Enterprise
- Awareness and support for Council initiatives
affecting business
- Council's image in the business community
Waitakere City Council uses the information to:
- Inform policy and strategy to support business
- Identify where service could be improved
- Monitor performance and report results in Council's
Annual Report
