Sports Parks

Waitakere City manages 34 sports parks that provide facilities for a number of sports and sports people as well as passive recreation users. These include newly developed changing facilities at high use parks and 22 fully irrigated sand sports fields. Playgrounds, skateboard facilities and general infrastructure improvements are also included into the upgrade of our sports parks, making them an asset the whole city can be proud of!

Booking a park

Before booking a park, please ensure you have the following information available:

• The nature of your event
• The number of people expected
• The name of the park and/or field(s) required
  See the list of sports parks or contact us to find the right park for your activity
• The date and time of your booking
• Any requirements for markings or equipment

There is no charge for hiring a park or field, although hirers must pay a bond in some circumstances.  Read more about Booking an Event in a Public Space.
