Family and friends are invited by the Keep Waitakere Beautiful Trust,
Waitakere City Council, and Plunket to commemorate the birth of new residents to
Waitakere City by planting a tree in their honour to create a grove of native
trees.
Trees for Babies is organised by the Keep Waitakere Beautiful Trust, Waitakere
City Council and Plunket. The event is held in May, in one park in each ward of
the City.
Your new addition will receive an invitation through the post some time in
April, but if not, or your child has been born since February this year and has
not registered with Plunket, or if your young family has recently moved to
Waitakere City, please feel free to come along, register your child and plant a
tree.
A registration book to register your baby and their tree species will be at each
planting. A Citizen of Waitakere certificate will also be given to each child.
If you can't make your wards planting date you are more than welcome to come to
another ward park.
